Charley Dickinson

Charley has 34 years of industry experience, beginning his career back in 1972. During these years he worked for an array of organisations, gaining experience in many types of load carriage including produce, general freight and fuel, both locally and interstate. Charley began transporting general freight 2 years after leaving school and soon gained the knowledge and experience to start transporting dangerous goods in 1980 for Shell. In Charley’s extensive career, he also worked for BP Gladstone for 15 years, 7 years with Toll Liquids Rockhampton (to and from the mines) and then 7 years with Emerald Carrying Company in Gracemere. Charley is well known and loved for his kind nature and patience. His gentle presence is a specialty with new trainees who have had little or no experience behind the big wheel. Charley will help you to build a strong foundation of skills and confidence for your many years of driving a heavy vehicle.

Greg Davis

Although young, Greg has maturity beyond his years and a varied amount of experience to draw from. Greg has been working for Advanced for 4 years and has certainly made his mark on the students he has taught, both young and old alike. In his time driving trucks Greg has worked for many companies and has driven an array of different types of vehicles including, agitators, water trucks, drill rigs, semis and B-doubles. Greg has worked for many large companies including Holcim, JRT, Lucus Drilling, Woolworths and other smaller local distributors. Greg has driven trucks locally and interstate. Whilst living in Sydney, Greg drove semis and B-doubles to support himself at university. He also has his private pilot license and loves to spend his spare time soaring the skies. Greg has built a reputation as a calm and collected trainer who gently guides his students towards becoming the best drivers they can be.

David Viles

David comes from a trucking family and his knowledge evidently draws from a variety of expertise in the industry.  His personal experience includes operating a water truck, tipper, fuel truck, refrigerated goods, general freight and operating machinery on mine sites.  David always has a story to share and willingly passes on his wide scope of knowledge to equip you for the road ahead.  Being a truckie at heart, he has his ear to the ground and can usually give you information that you may not realise you are looking for.  David will help you to enjoy the experience of driving and leave you with a good laugh.

Paul Davis

Paul is a teacher through and through!  For those who love all the fine details to bring the whole picture together, Paul will certainly be the one to paint the picture with you.  His extensive teaching experience spans 30 years in a variety of fields to equip you with considerable knowledge from his vast reservoir.  Paul will help you to feel confident on the road and ready for the unexpected.  Paul has been a chief flying instructor in previous years but is now happy to keep the wheels on the bitumen - something all drivers should aim to do!  

Wade Hind

Wade is our all rounder, having grown up with a diverse range of skills on offer to him.  He has plenty of experience with trucks and various other machinery on the land, in the earthmoving industry and also at the Mines.   During his spare time Wade loves to be active outdoors and keep fit.  He has a reputation for his quick witt and down to earth manner while maintaining an eagerness to pass on his skill and knowledge in a professional manner.  Wade will help you feel confident on the road.
